Dan Taitz joined Penthera Partners, Inc. in 2015 and is currently its President and Chief Operating Officer. Dan oversees day-to-day operations at the mobile video software development company.
Dan is known for his transformative work with some of the biggest names in the video delivery business. From 2011 to 2013, he served as interim principal executive officer, as well as in other leadership positions at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. As interim CEO he oversaw all day-to-day operations of the firm's 500+ employees; oversaw the redesign of its websites; launched a short-form video business and secured digital distribution deals with AOL, Yahoo!, Fullscreen and Hulu.
Before Martha Stewart, Dan also served as a senior vice president, business affairs from 2008 to 2011 at Univision Communications Inc. There he created and implemented the company's first digital distribution strategy and developed a cutting edge strategy to generate subscription revenue for Univision's broadcast networks.
He served as outside counsel during the formation of Oxygen Media Corp., and was then recruited by Geraldine Laybourne and Oprah Winfrey to serve as general counsel. During his years with the network (1999-2008) he advanced to chief administrative officer.
Prior to Oxygen, Dan was an associate and then partner in the corporate department of leading New York law firms. He has a BA in history from Trinity College; and JD, Magna Cum Laude, from Cornell University.
