Elke Hungenaert is VP of Product Management for Synamedia’s Video Network business. She is responsible for strategy, planning, partnering, and marketing of the firm’s video processing products and architectures, leveraging cloud, media workflow automation, ABR technology and microservices to deliver reliable, premium quality video to any screen.

With over 20 years’ experience in the video industry, Elke spent the previous 12 years at Cisco. Before that she worked at Scientific-Atlanta, joining Cisco after the acquisition of Scientific Atlanta in 2005. Elke held various roles earlier in her career - including engineering team lead and software architect - before moving into product management.

Prior to focusing on video technology, Elke worked as a researcher at the department of information technology (INTEC) at the University of Ghent. She holds a masters in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Ghent, Belgium.
